So, what do you do?

The world is opening again, meaning business shows, conferences, and in-person pitch events are back in the corporate calendar.

It’s ace, getting back into the habit of introducing oneself again.

Whenever we walk into a room, met with other suited entrepreneurs and businesspeople, the standard line is played: “So, what do you do?”

We do face recognition.

Sometimes, we’re met with the generic, and frankly predictable: “Ooh, so you’re spying on us, eh?”

But most of the time, facial recognition is met with intrigue and genuine curiosity.

“Wow. That’s certainly cooler than being in finance,” one gentleman jests.

And do you know what?

It is.

…sorry to all of you in finance or *insert any boring profession here.

Our values as a company are threaded into every aspect of our day-to-day. We believe in safety, security, and convenience. We also think that face rec is the best thing since sliced bread.

We’re strong advocates for using artificial intelligence (AI) for good, allowing the technology to enhance our lives – not control or take over.

What else do we believe in? Putting the customer first. User-centred design. Only adding the fancy features if it benefits you.

Unlike our competitors, who deliver standalone systems that only do what they say on the tin – recognise faces – we’ve created a streamlined system that neatly slots into existing client software.

Care workers in facilities across Cornwall said that they didn’t need another bit of software to sign into – they already have a lot of app-admin to manage. So, we developed our product to combine with existing time and attendance applications.

Construction sites said they needed a device to withstand both the elements, and the inevitable high levels of dirt on site.

So, we designed our little UCMeC to withstand a hefty battering from the outside elements. We added these amazing Neoprene foam seals, which help to keep dust and grit from interfering with the hardware.

Secure industrial sites, such as Goonhilly Earth Station, need to be sure that the technology is secure as possible – we don’t want just anyone accessing the mission control room and sending a rocket to Mars.

So, we only use the highest quality of algorithms from a UK company called Cognitec. This algorithm has been developed to work with face masks, too.

We’re incredibly proud to be working with such an innovative technology. So yes, working with AI is way cooler than being in finance.

But we do it differently.

Ethical face recognition, built specifically for you.

Access your space, with your face.
