Facentry: The Ultimate Track & Trace solution.

Construction Worker.jpg

In these pretty turbulent times, we’re trying to encourage as much stability as possible. We here at TouchByte, are doing our utmost to ensure that as many sectors as possible can remain open.

Take the construction industry, for example. Work in this sector ground to a halt during the lockdown, as there weren’t effective safety measures in place to ensure that workers could continue working, in a covid-secure environment.

We changed this, with the help of Innovate UK, who supported us with a grant just shy of £50k. This grant enabled us to develop a prototype for our Facentry solution - making our access control system entirely contactless.

As it happens, contactless access control just so happens to be the ultimate Track & Trace solution. Don’t believe me? Let me explain it to you.

The Track & Trace system works in a very simple way; scan a QR code to alert an app as to where you have been. So, why not simplify this process even further by side-stepping the QR code, and simply use your face to trace?

By using facial recognition technology as access control, construction workers can also monitor where they’ve been, at what time, and which colleagues they’ve worked with. This, essentially, works as an incredibly accurate Track & Trace system - even down to precise clocking in and out times, specific colleague profiles, and exact measurements of where a worker has been on a site.
